INCENTIVE TRAVEL TO ICELAND?

Iceland Incentive Travel

Iceland is an island in the North Atlantic with only 300.000 inhabitants, but with extremely high geothermal activity and extreme geological contrasts, the perfect location for incentive travel. The landscape is characterized by waterfalls, geysers, volcanoes, black sand beaches, and otherworldly steaming lava fields. With almost 80% of the country uninhabited, much of Iceland’s terrain consists of plateaux, mountain peaks, and fertile lowlands. Widely known as “The Land of Fire and Ice”, Iceland is home to some of the largest glaciers in Europe, including Europe’s largest, Vatnajökull,  and some of the world’s most active volcanoes (125).It offers geisers and thermal hot springs. Other natural wonders that can be seen in Iceland are the Northern Light (end August) and midnight suns. Iceland is also the land of light and darkness. Long summer days with near 24-hours of sunshine are offset by short winter days with only a few hours of daylight. Iceland also continuously ranks near the top for measurements of quality of life, gender equality, and democracy, and is one of the highest ranked countries in the world for health care, education and internet availability.
