INCENTIVE TRAVEL TO LAPLAND?

Lapland Incentive Travel

Lapland stretches across northern Norway, Sweden and Finland and into the Kola Peninsula of Russia. It is an extraordinary destination. Contrasts are key when describing Lapland. From 24 hours of sunlight in summer (three months!) to dark winter days when there is almost no sun at all. It also offers unique natural phenomena: Polar Nights, autumn colors, Northern Lights, and Arctic cites nestled among Ice Age fells. Lapland also offers Finland’s best rides – would you be prefer to be shown around by Santa’s reindeer or a pack of happy hounds? Both are great ways to discover the snowy surroundings. Reindeer and husky rides can take from a few minutes to days long safaris. The landscapes are diverse; Lapland is also described as the last great wilderness of Europe. There are high mountains in the north and west and going south by east the landscape is smoothing out to be lowland as the Baltic Bay is reached. From the foot of the mountains down to the lowlands, it is covered by woods and pine. And the silence in the forests is impressive and humbling…. For those who like wintersports – there is snow from November to May. Some other interesting facts; Lapland has proven to have the purest air in Europe. It is also home of Santa Claus and has as many reindeers as people!
